The number of events in TileCal cells with energy over a threshold of 300 MeV in run 311481 using 2016 p-p collision Data at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV. The energy measured in cells from the three TileCal layers and TileCal E cells (Gap+Crack scintillators) is used. The red bands for $|\eta| > 1.2$ refer to the TileCal special E cells response. In this region and for positive $\eta$ the blue bins are the response for A cells for extended barrel modules EBA40 and EBA63 where the readout channels of E cells are masked. The white bands correspond to modules LBA52: $0 < \eta < 0.85$, $\phi = -1.23$ which is masked due to a large fraction of digital errors and LBC05: $-0.85 < \eta < 0$, $\phi = 0.44$ which has been masked due to a cooling issue.

Energy deposition

Average Sum Transverse Energy ($\Sum{E_T}$) of TileCal cell as a function of eta in collision candidate events at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV. Only cells with transverse energy above 500 MeV at the EM scale are considered. Non-diffractive minimum bias Monte Carlo events with the same energy cut are superimposed with the collision candidate events. The cut is chosen at 500 MeV in order to have negligible electronic noise contribution.

A Level 1 minimum bias trigger scintillator (MBTS) trigger is required for the 13 TeV data. To ensure exactly one interaction has occurred per bunch crossing, only events having a single reconstructed primary vertex are selected. Each distribution is normalized to unit area.
