### Pulse Shape

The tolerance in the TileCal electronics can lead to small variations in pulse shapes. This is the effect studied here. Top: Signal reconstructed with the optimal filter algorithm averaged over all good channels and full energy range in high gain in the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter from $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV pp -collision data, run 152345, April 2010. Overlaid in red is the reference high gain pulse–shape used for reconstruction. Bottom: The deviation between data and reference pulses in units of standard deviations. $\sigma$ is the statistical spread on the data.
