Signal yield of selected leptonic (emu) ttbar
The stability of the rate of physics signals is an important inclusive monitor of the data quality that would be sensitive to eventual trigger and offline selection instabilities. The plot shows the selected signal yield of leptonic emu ttbar events as a function of run over the year 2016, normalised to the luminosity as calculated using the latest offline tools. No attempt is made to do an overall acceptance correction and no background subtraction is done. In back runs with GRL, in red runs without GRL. Shown as well is the truncated average (90%) over the year, with a 5% band on top of it.

P_T balance in gamma+jet events
The 2nd plot for the gamma+jet balance shows the stability of the mean for events with jets with 1.35<|eta|<2.35, as a function of run taken in 2016. Shown is data with GRL (black) and without (red). Shown as well is the average computed as a truncated mean (90%) over all runs.

Performance Monitoring Plots

High Invariant Mass ee Events
Shown is the invariant mass spectrum of di-electron events in 2015. Data is compared to Monte Carlo normalised to luminosity. Shown as well is result of a functional fit to the data and some event counting, comparing data and overall Monte Carlo event yields. The last bin shows possible overflow events exceeding mass range of the histogram. The lower plot shows the significance of any possible fluctuation compared to the fit result, taking only statistical errors into account.

High mass di-jet events
The plot shows the invariant mass spectrum of selected di-jet events from 2015. Both jets are required have |eta|<2.5. Data is compared to Monte Carlo simulation, normalised to luminosity. A k-factor is applied to the multijet sample. Shown as well is the result of a functional fit to the data spectrum. The bottom plot shows the significance of any possible fluctuation w.r.t. the fit result, taking only statistical errors into account.

TADA Event Display
TADA features a possibility to quickly inspect in the web-browser the event kinematics in a Java based 3D event display. Shown is a screenshot of an event from 2016 (run 303943, event 2072576242) with 2 muons (red), 1 electron (green) and 4 jets shown as cones where the size is proportional to the pT. The missing energy is shown as a dotted line.

Total Integrated Luminosity in 2016
Cumulative luminosity versus time delivered to (green) and recorded by ATLAS (yellow) during stable beams for pp collisions at 13 TeV centre-of-mass energy in 2016. The delivered luminosity accounts for luminosity delivered from the start of stable beams until the LHC requests ATLAS to put the detector in a safe standby mode to allow for a beam dump or beam studies. The recorded luminosity reflects the DAQ inefficiency, as well as the inefficiency of the so-called ‘warm start’: when the stable beam flag is raised, the tracking detectors undergo a ramp of the high-voltage and, for the pixel system, turning on the preamplifiers. Shown is the luminosity as determined from counting rates measured by the luminosity detectors.

These detectors have been calibrated with the use of the van-der-Meer beam-separation method, where the two beams are scanned against each other in the horizontal and vertical planes to measure their overlap function. Stability of the mean Z -> mumu mass
TADA monitors the stability of detector alignment using Z->mumu events. The plot shows the statistical mean of the invariant mass signal as a function of the ATLAS runs. For the purpose of monitoring the stability of the mean no attempt is made to deconvolute the effect of the detector resolution from the overall signal shape. The mean is computed over the Runs with GRL are shown in black, in red new runs are shown for which the GRL was not yet available at the time the plot was produced at Tier-0. The average is show as a dotted line to guide the eyes, it is computed as a truncated mean of 90% of the runs.
