  • Reminder of the dead line for CHEP 2010 abstract submission: 30th of April
    • Abstracts to be posted on indico before submitting them

Round Table

Marco Cl.

  • Gaudi
    • Re-implemented the signal handler and the event watchdog in Gaudi (following Markus' requests). It has been agreed to have them disabled by default.
    • Initial implementation of a mechanism to return sensible exit codes on application termination (currently used only if a file cannot be opened or a signal is received).
    • Fixed the compilation on ICC 11 (a test is still failing, probably because of a linkage problem)
    • Tag should be ready by Friday
  • CondDB
    • added the configuration for the new tier-1 LCG.SARA.nl
    • The LFC problem in CORAL has been fixed

  • Nightly builds didn't start on Windows.

  • Subversion
    • Moved COMPAT and LbScripts to SVN
    • Ready to migrate Curie, Geant4, Gauss and part of Rec
  • cernvm
    • cernvm 2rc has been released
      • SLC5 - compatible
      • install slc5 binaries from now on
    • we should plan to move the installation from /opt/lhcb to /opt/lhcb/lib to make it relocatable (it will invalidate the cache of all users)
  • Proposal for a script to pack the user release area in a sandbox tarball for grid or testing (task #14985)

  • Tests in the nightlies have the FORTRAN print-outs after all the C++ print-outs (instead of being where they should be).
Could be due to some change introduced by gfortran.

  • Can we have the signal handler in Gaudi fire an incident reporting the signal name?
    It is possible.

Marco Ca.: Has the patch requested by Jaap been tested?
Not yet.

Marco Ca.

  • Presentation by Thomas on Monday:
    • RDST event is only the 30% of a normal DST without the RawEvent
    • defined a new type of DST: SDST (normal DST without raw data)
