How to give write access

  • this is restricted action to LHCb CVS librarians
  • the first time:
    • cd <somewhere>
    • mkdir LHCbCVS
    • cd LHCbCVS
    • cvs co CVSROOT
    • edit writers
      • add the z5 userid of the user if not yet in ( userid are in alphabetic order)
    • edit commitavail
      • add the userid in one of the groups
    • edit tagavail
      • add the userid in the same group
    • cvs commit -m "add userid in writers, commitavail, tagavail"
  • next time:
    • cd <somewhere>/LHCbCVS/CVSROOT
    • cvs update
    • edit writers, commitavail, tagavail
    • cvs commit -m "give write access to userid "
