lhcb-branches: for tests of future release of DecFiles for MC11

Changed:

<
This slot is to build and test future release of DecFiles for MC for 2011 data - Sim05, a.k.a as MC11. In this slot you will find the build of the latest released version of Gauss in the v41 series, v41r1. It uses a build in the same nighlty slot of the head revision of DecFiles. All new decay files added since the latest release in the DecFiles v25rX series are built and a qmtest is run to verify they can be used.

Currently this slot is to test the tagged release for 2012, Gauss v42r2 build against LHCb v35r2 and Geant4 v94r2p5.

Currently this slot is to test the tagged release for 2012, Gauss v42r2 build against LHCb v35r2 and Geant4 v94r2p5 with the latest DecFiles v26rX.
This version of Gauss has new generators and new features for the upgrade. However, it is based on the same default generators (pythia6 and evtgen versions) and Geant4 version as Gauss v41rX (Sim05). For this reason it can also be used for early productions for 2012 data, identified as Sim06.

This slot is to prepare the version of Gauss (v43r2) that will use the latest version of Geant4 9.5.p01 and of generators (but for EvtGen).

For this reason in this slot also Geant4 HEAD, picking up 9.5.p01 is built and Gauss uses it. To decouple from the newer EvtGen, this is kept as in the Gauss v42 (Sim06) series.

Since the latest versions of the external generators are also available on gcc 4.6 this allow to begin commissioning Gauss with this compiler.

The following versions of external generators have been changed with respect to v42r2:

It takes the head revision of all packages but for those needed to use the old version of EvtGen. The following packages are taken from their branches

lhcb-head: for tests of the next release of Gauss with new EvtGen against the head revision of LHCb

This slot is to prepare the version of Gauss (v44r2) that will use the newest version of EvtGen.

To decouple from the G4 changes the test uses the released Geant4 v94r2p5 rebuilding it in the slot to pick up the correct Gaudi version. At the moment only the new version of EvtGen is included: new generators version as photos++ and interfaces will be added (this should fix some of the compilation errors).

New interface packages for photos++ and tauola++ have been defined to remove the ++ and replace it with pp. This is needed on bash to correctly resolve the paths. Currently these interface packages are explicitly added in this nightly slot (and all other -head slots) and not via GaussSys.

The packages explicitly added are:

  • LCG_GeneratorsInterfaces/photospp
  • LCG_GeneratorsInterfaces/tauolapp

This slot is to prepare the final version of Gauss (v45) that will use the newest version of EvtGen, all other generators libraries and Geant4.
