Switching on/off the maraton power supply in P1A01

Currently one can one switch the power via the usb interface on the front panel of the RCM module in D3E04.

  • check that the PFU in D3E04 is switched on
  • connect the PileUp laptop (or VELO online laptop) to the (PileUp) RCM in D3E04
  • check that the lower green led goes on
  • start the 'wiener usb power supply control' program
  • if the message '0 usb devices found' appears, unplug the usb and check whether the led goes off. If the led stays on the communcation is corrupted and the VME crate with the RCMs must be power cycled. Please consult the VELO group before power cycling the crate. If the led goes off then replug the usb cable and try again.
  • switch on the channels of 'group 1'
  • unplug the cable from the RCM and check that the led goes off. If not, the communication is corrupted and the VME crate with the RCMs must be power cycled. Please consult the VELO group before power cycling the crate.
  • the status and currents of the maraton supply can be checked by starting a web-browser in the online network to webaddress pumatn0 (10.130.31.151)
