ν (nu) : The average number of pp interactions per bunch crossing

This includes elastic and diffractive (at 7 TeV that would be about 91 mb). This is the number we use in the simulation as input to pythia. MC09 and 2010 MC have been generated with ν=1. The breakdown of subprocesses according to pythia is :
