Slice Test - PVSS operation of the system

  1. Double-click on the VELOA(C) button (bottom left).
  2. If the top padlock (VELOA(C)) is open, click on it and Take.
  3. The system should be in the state "NOT_ALLOCATED" (if not select "DEALLOCATE").

  1. Select "Allocate" by pressing on "NOT_ALLOCATED". This assign a readout supervisor (ODIN) to the VELO half providing clock and fast signals. The system should be afterwards in the state "NOT_READY".

Configure Control board and hybrid

  1. Go back to the main menu.
  2. Select the recipe you want to use in the pull down menu belo "Activity:" (see below).

  1. Configure the system by selcting "Configure" after clicking on "NOT_READY". This should bring the subsystems VELOA(C)_DAQ, VELOA(C)_Runinfo and VELOA(C)_TFC into the state "READY".

  1. Select "Limited to" below "Max Nr. Triggers:" and enter 10000.
  2. Select "No Steps" below "Automated Run with Steps:".
  3. Start the system by selecting "START_RUN" after clicking on "READY". This should bring the subsystems VELOA(C)_DAQ and VELOA(C)_Runinfo into the state "RUNNING" and VELOA(C)_TFC into the state "ACTIVE".
