Hany Ammar
is a Medical Physicist consultant at Children’s Cancer Hospital-Egypt (57357) and lecturer of Medical Physics at the faculty of medicine, Aswan University. He joined the Radiation Oncology Department at 57357 Hospital in January of 2008 as a junior physicist. He finished his master’s degree (MSc) and continued on to become a consultant by receiving his Doctorate (
PhD) in medical physics from the Faculty of science, Cairo University. He gained his experience through attending many international IAEA and ESTRO radiotherapy workshops and he received advanced technology training at Aarhus University, Denmark. Dr. Ammar is highly motivated and is involved in the initiation and operation of the most recent radiotherapy techniques at 57357. He joined Aswan University as a lecturer of Medical Physics and with others has started the establishment of a Radiotherapy center at Aswan. Dr. Ammar published about 15 articles and has been a mentor for post graduate studies and theses for medical physics students.
