Dr. Josť F. Salt Cairols


Josť F. Salt Cairols (1959, Spain) is a Research Professor at IFIC (Instituto de FÔsica Corpuscular) in Valencia. Co-Chair and Secretary of the Experimental Particle Physics and Theoretical Physics Division of the Royal Spanish Society of Physics and Head of the GRID and e-Science group of IFIC. He obtained his PhD in Physics in 1987 in WA71 experiment (CERN) and he got the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize of University of Valencia of this course. From 1988 to 1990, CERN Fellowship. Dr. Salt has been Main Researcher of several Particle Physics spanish projects funded by the High Energy Physics Program and European projects. Head of the Experimental Physics Department of IFIC 2003-2006. Participation and Main Researcher of several Collaboration Projects between Morocco and Spain. Member of the Advisory Committee of Spanish LHC Network, in particular, in Computing and Software matters. Honorary founding member of the Social Project Network to overcome the digital divide for people with physical and mental disabilities in Valencia.
