Setting up web analytics

For the time being, we recommend using google web analytics. Once becomes operational, we will move to that one.

To configure google web analytics, follow these steps:

1. Get an unique ID. If you have access to the cern.dashboard@gmail account, you can do that yourself. Otherwise, ask the and you will get the ID

2. Include the following code in all your pages:

<script xmlns="" type="text/javascript">
   var _gaq = _gaq || [];
  _gaq.push(['_setAccount', '<PUT YOUR ID HERE>']);

  (function() {
    var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
    ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '';
    var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);

Note that you have to change PUT YOUR ID HERE by the ID created in step one. Note also that the line ' _gaq.push(['_trackPageLoadTime']);' (which is not in the default instructions from google analytics). With this line, you will monitor also the time taken to load the pages.

And that's it! You will have to wait for some time (maybe even a couple of days!) until the statistics start appearing
