Suspending Subscriptions

Undelivered Mails

Description: What do we do with undelivered mails (server down, inbox full, person left) ? They are pain for HN-Admin. Who tackles this and at what point do they remove someone ?
Status: This is associated with removing people from HN (unsubscribe from all Forums; unregister). After a day or so, Stephen chases these up.

Slow Postings

Description: Takes a long time before postings appear. Dario has complained in the past.
Status: 9 Aug 2007: Pete Elmer says that if people post from a non-registered email address, the posting goes into a spam folder; he rescues these but this takes some time.

"Broken" Forums

Description: Some postings have disappeared following move of HN to new machine.
Also: Ivo Gough Eschrich and Rolf Seuster (mailing to HN Feedback is not visible!).
Status: Stefan Rosier says can be seen by clicking on "inline depth" "1" or "All". Investigations are on-going. Appears to be fixed by 26 Jul 2007 (unclear why).

Status: No - a lot of spam puports to be from CERN. But can register for multiple email addresses.

Status: Discuss with Pete Elmer (20/7/07). Can only attach certain files, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, html, png, postscript, pdf. Cannot attach scripts such as perl, python because these can potential cause problems.
