Atlas.TileCal offline software job list
Introduction
This page describes all ongoing activities as well as work which still needs to be done in Atlas.TileCal offline software. People who is working on a particular item will create separate wiki pages with current status.
All the jobs listed here are pure software jobs and jobs like "study of effect of dead material" or "study of performace of TopoClustering" are not listed.
Detector Description
- Description of special Atlas.TileCal modules with cut cells and missing fingers. Assigned to Anna Lupi
- Real position of modules (non-cylindrical shape, slope of the axis)
- Description of dead material in the crack between barrel and extended barrel, icluding LAr crates, cables, pipes, etc
- Description of Atlas.TileCal support structures
- Update of TileDetDescr and TileAtlas.GeoModel packages, more tight connection between Atlas.GeoModel and calorimeter description used in the reconstruction, in particular detailed information about cell geometry needed for Atlas.TrackToCalo propagation.
- Atlas.GeoModel for ancillary detectors at the testbeam

- Development of TileMonitoring for Event Filter
- Support and improvements of Event Displays, v-atlas and Atlas.Atlantis - see TileEventDisplay Assigned to Bucharest
Minimum Bias scintillators
MB scintillators is a part of ATLAS which readout by Atlas.TileCal PMTs. They are put as separate item because most probably all the items below will be done by one person
- Detector Description of Minimum Bias scintillators
- Simulation in Geant4 (hit collection in stepping function)
- Digitization
- Reconstruction
