The primary focus is the development of a graphical interface to view and manage information for the gas system feeding the MDT chambers in the ATLAS experiment. This graphical interface will be accessible to a supervisor in the control room of the ATLAS experiment as well as certain remote locations. The information required for the maintenance of the gas system can be separated into three groups:
Gas Mapping - Gas mapping information refers to the physical layout of the gas system in the ATALS experiment, primarily the tube connections from gas racks to chambers and the locations of racks and chambers within the pit itself.
Chamber Status - Chamber status information refers to that state of a chamber concerning the presence of a high voltage bias required for data acquisition and the detection of an error in the rate of gas flow through a particular chamber.
Gas Flow - Gas flow information is the actual values for the flow rate of Argonne gas through a particular channel and the pressure in the channel.
