System Intervention (10.9.2007)

FW and PVSS upgrade. Done by Stephanie, Stepan

1. Installed PVSS 3.6 SP1 cumulative patch (from CMF)

2. Upgraded JCOP framework to version 3.2.0 for project ATLMDTSCS.

• Copied the fwInstallation.zip from terminal server disk to PVSS project root dir
• Unzipped it there, making sure files go to corresponding dirs of the project (bin, scripts, ...)
• Copied the FW from terminal server disk fwComponents dir to C:\temp
• Started fwInstallation.pnl from PVSS GEDI
• Deleted all old inmstalled FW components except fwDIM15.01.0
• Select the FW Komponent Dir copied to c:\temp as location for new stuff.
• Installed FW stuff: fwAtlasControl3.1.1, fwTrending3.1.0, fwCore3.2.0

3. Upgrade Atlas specific FW stuff, same procedure as above. Versions and Install sequence:

• FwFSMv25r8
• fwAtlas_1.4.0,
• fwFsmAtlas_2.1.4

4. Installed central logging:

• fwLogErrHandler0.3.0 from terminal server disk
• followed instructions in READFME file, except
• manager start added to Console manually and not by renaming progs_rename_me, with time_to_kill set to 30 instead -30 (seconds). Did not work.

5. Install fwLogViewerplugin:

• follow README, only up to setting system environment variable DIM_DNS_NODE:pcatlgcsoi02.cern.ch
