Distribution of the transverse impact parameter, computed with respect to the reconstructed event primary vertex after having excluded the track under
consideration from the vertex fit. The following track selection criteria have been applied: -pt > 1 GeV -|eta| < 2.0 -at least 1 hit in the first pixel layer (b-layer) eps-file gif-file | ![]() |
Distribution of the transverse impact parameter, computed with respect to the reconstructed event primary vertex after having excluded the track under
consideration from the vertex fit. The following track selection criteria have been applied: -pt > 3 GeV -|eta| < 2.0 -at least 1 hit in the first pixel layer (b-layer) eps-file gif-file | ![]() |
The resolution of the transverse impact parameter, computed with respect to the reconstructed event primary vertex after having excluded the track under consideration from the vertex fit, as a function of 1/p^2sin^3(theta). The resolution in each bin is obtained from the result of a Gaussian fit within +- 3 sigma. It includes the effect of the primary vertex resolution, which may be significant at low
1/p^2sin^3(theta)
The following track selection has been applied: Pt > 0.5 GeV |eta| < 1.2 # Silion hits > 5 # b-layer hits = 1 where the tight cut on eta restricts us to the barrel region since the parameterisation explicitly describes a cylindrical geometry. The resolution increases with 1/p^2sin^3(theta) showing the effect of multiple scattering and the similar slopes in the data and MC suggest a good description of the material. eps-file png-file | ![]() |
