Detector Properties
Introduction
In this page simulation results for detector occupancies assuming particle densities from
HIJING without jet quenching are presented for the inner detector, the calorimeter system and the muon tracker.
Inner detector
The occupancies for the Pixel, SCT and TRT systems were evaluated as a function of the generated charged particle density
at mid-rapidity, dNch/deta(|eta| < 1). For this purpose the following data set was used: misal1_mc12.008801.Hijing_PbPb_5p5TeV_MinBias.digit.RDO.v12000604_tid019179

Calorimeter
The figures show the amount of energy deposited in a typical deta × dphi = 0.1 × 0.1 tower in the electromagnetic and hadronic calorimeter systems for central Pb+Pb collisions with impact parameter of 2.3 fm. The average transverse energy flow as a function of eta is also shown.
