Study of signal and background conditions in ttH, H->WW* and WH, H->WW* (HG6)

This page contains approved plots and results in the order as they appear in the CSC note. Only the CSC note contains all the relevant information and should thus be consulted if one of the plots is used.

fig01-a. fig01-b.
Figure 1: (a) Dilepton invariant mass distributions in ttH (2L) and ttZ and (b) pT-distributions of muons passing the loose isolation criteria. The solid distribution shows muons from W decays in the 160 GeV signal sample, the dotted distribution shows muons in tt, which could not be matched to a generator-level muon from a W- or τ-decay. All distributions are normalized to unity.

fig02.
Figure 2: Non-isolated electron rejections vs. signal efficiencies obtained by the isolation Likelihood estimator for four different pT and η intervals. The large points mark the working point of the standard isolation cuts for comparison and indicate the size of the error bars, which are not shown for the curves.

fig03-a. fig03-b. fig03-c.
Figure 3: pT-distribution for the leading leptons in the WH(3L) signal, tt , WZ, ttW and W+jet production(top left), invariant mass of all the lepton pairs (top right) and sum of the pT of all jets (bottom) for the WH(3L) signal and the relevant backgrounds. All these plots are done after loose cut.
