ATLAS tau lepton public results

Results based on data collected with the ATLAS detector

Results from 2010 collision data  NEW

  • Public results illustrating the performance of the tau identification algorithm with 7 TeV collision data (efficiency and rejection) can be found here.

Results from 2009 collision data

  • Public results illustrating the performance of the tau reconstruction algorithm with 900 GeV collision data can be found here.

Results from 2009 cosmics data

  • Public plots from running the tau algorithms on Cosmics Data can be found here.

Results based on Monte Carlo simulation studies

Cut-based identification of hadronic tau decays

  • Information related to tau identification studied in MC is available in a public note: ATL-PHYS-PUB-2010-001. It describes a cut-based tau identification (obselete now!).
  • All figures can be found on this dedicated page.

CSC book

  • You can find the corresponding figures and tables on this dedicated page. The full reference is:

Detector paper

  • All figures from the tau chapter of the ATLAS detector paper can be found here. The information given there is identical to that given on the dedicated CSC page linked above.

Scientific notes

  • All existing scientific notes are superseded by information from the CSC book.
