The project siw-ecal now has 3TB at /eos/project/s/siw-ecal/ (this is accessible on lxplus) It can also be mounted locally on linux machines outside of CERN using the instructions on https://cern.service-now.com/service-portal/article.do?n=KB0003846 the EOS instance of this storage is EOSUSER.

The following 2 folders are pre-created:

/eos/project/s/siw-ecal/www/ (folder for hosting an EOS-site-type website) /eos/project/s/siw-ecal/public/ (public folder for all CERN authenticated users)

Members** of the siw-ecal project also have the option of going to their CERNBox (via a web browser) to see the project files (go to 'Your projects' and select 'project siw-ecal').

Files are in:

  • /eos/project/s/siw-ecal/TB2017-06/DESY
    • data --> raw data as taken during beam test (also xml, log files etc)
    • ConvertedData --> good runs converted to root files and, in some cases, with slab merging and event buidling done. It is structured in passes (i.e. pass1 is the one just after the beam test with corrected RAW2ROOT macro)

Scripts are prepared if we want and extra pass of the data (i.e. a new RAW2ROOT converter is written).

source new_pass_conversion.sh passX bcidTh path_to_newmacros RunType

  • bcidTh= is used to define retriggers (closer bcids than this value are considered retriggers.) It has been proven that a value of 15 is ok.
  • RunType should be one of the following options: MIPscan, MIPangle, Tungsten, Magnet

In the case of the MIPscan and Tungsten programs, the scripts also produce the event building.

The Tungsten files are separated by tungsten configurations and grid points (grid 20 and grid24, corresponding to chips 12-15 and 8-11 respectively)/

...

The management and access are managed through e-groups: https://e-groups.cern.ch/e-groups/EgroupsSearch.do?searchValue=SiW-ECAL&searchMethod=1

cernbox-project-siw-ecal-admins can configure* the following 2 e-groups which control access to the project space: it includes SiW-ECAL-admin cernbox-project-siw-ecal-readers (anyone in this egroup can read in the project space) includes SiW-ECAL-BT2017 and SiW-ECAL-BT2015 and cernbox-project-siw-ecal-writers (anyone in this egroup can read, write and delete in the project space) includes SiW-ECAL-BT2017-Analysis and cernbox-project-siw-ecal-admins

The service account, siw-ecal (SiW-ECAL.data@cernNOSPAMPLEASE.ch, as of now attached to my primary account but it can be tranfered in the future) is a member of cernbox-project-siw-ecal-admins.
