CALICE software packages

Please also check SoftwareNews TWiki page, since it may contain more recent tags which are not yet mentioned here, including external package tags (ILC soft, root, cmake).

This package collects re-occuring scripts for CMake-based build, which originally have been duplicated in numerous packages. There is no upstream dependence.

This package is meant to contain all code, which are used for more than one calice package, for instance data structures and utility functions. The quotation of minimum versions of upstream packages in conservative, i.e. guaranteed. Lower versions might still work but have not been tested.

v04-11 -- v01-11 v00-05-pre v01-10-04
v04-10-02 -- v01-10 v00-03 v01-09

This package provides two libraries, one each from the sub-directories raw2calohit and clustering. The prior is the location of all processors used for processing raw LCIO data, e.g. calibration processors. The clustering directory contains a collection of clustering stuff, which is not widely used.

v04-06-05 -- v04-10-02 5.16.00

This package contains digitization code for tracking and the various calorimeters. Depends on calice_userlib, calice_reco.

The online code for the CRC-based DAQ

An old package containing the records of the DAQ code. In principle obsolet once the build system of calice_lcioconv links against calice_daq.

A package containing the event builder and converter to LCIO format for the CRC-based DAQ. Requires calice_userlib and calice_online

A package with utilities to fill/check the conditions database.

CALICE software on the GRID

Two tar-balls containing CALICE and ILC code are available on the GRID:
lfn:/grid/calice/software/calice_<version>_<os>.tgz and

<os> refers to the operating system, currently only sl4 is supported.

<version> refers to a dedicated tar-ball version. This table describes the content of the calice tar-ball and its dependencies:

A package with scripts to generate Marlin steering files, e.g. for reconstruction. All implicit database folders are resolved depending on the run number, and DB tags are considered where available. New minor versions imply changed DB tags, new major versions new software packages.
