Upload and Replicate Files

To add a file to the grid 

dirac-dms-add-file /ilc/user/<u>/<username>/some/folder/myPreciousFile.root myPreciousFile.root CERN-SRM
Instead of CERN-SRM other StorageElements can be used, e.g. DESY-SRM, KEK-SRM, IN2P3-SRM. Use one close to home

To copy (a.k.a. replicate) a file from one StorageElement use 

dirac-dms-replicate-lfn /ilc/user/<u>/<username>/some/folder/myPreciousFile.root DESY-SRM

Replication Request

The alternative when replicating many files is the creation of a replication request

Create a list of LFNs, e.g., listOfLfns.txt and use 

dirac-dms-create-replication-request TARGET_SE listOfLfns.txt
