Site Readiness Operations

The Site Readiness tool is described in PADASiteCommissioning twiki. This twiki focus on the operation of the Site Readiness central service.

Site Readiness Scripts

The Site Readiness package includes these scripts:

  • "" (Commissioned Links to Site Readiness)
  • "" (Is Site in SiteDB ? used to filter out deprecated sites or include new ones on the Site Readiness)
  • "" (Main Site Readiness script - input to SSB columns [Site Readiness, Rankings,...], and creates the HTML tables and PLOTS shown on CompOps meetings)
  • "" (Usable sites according to this procedure)

All them are found on the SVN area and the outputs can be seen on the Site Status Board. While the SVN area is used for official deployment to vocms128, the scripts have been moved also the the Site Support github area. In order to run by hand, check out of github and, on lxplus, run ./

All of them run in vocms128. The following web area (from CERN web services) is used to expose the produced data:

SiteReadinessReport cronjob runs 4 times per day (every 6 hours: 0,6,12,18), starting at 0:35 (CERN time).

Site Readiness Deployment

How to deploy/start/stop the Site Readiness scripts is covered by the general service instructions in CompOpsMonitoringTools. For instance, if you want to have a copy to run yourself for testing, you need to set up a VM using the CERN service. Follow the instructions at the bottom of that twiki on setting up a dev VM and deploying the monitoring tools, replacing happyface with sreadiness. Also note the webdir is different for the site readiness (webdir=/afs/ in this case).

Site Readiness relevant monitoring links

The T1/T2 ranking plots can as well be obtained from the Site Status Board. Just click on the Site Readiness Status column, select the time span, sites, and then on the top option "Ranking Plot".

The complete list of all monitoring links is found in

Site Readiness metric corrections

The procedure for correcting site readiness is documented here: CompOpsSiteSupportCorrectReadiness
