Set Dataset Status in DBS

Note: need to add DN to grid-mapfile

Set dataset status in DBS3

  • 1) setup DBS3 env: source {your dbs3 installation directory}/dbs3-client/3.1.6a/etc/profile.d/init.sh
  • 2) setup Grid env: source /afs/cern.ch/project/gd/LCG-share/current_3.2/etc/profile.d/grid_env.sh (for FNAL: source /uscmst1/prod/grid/gLite_SL5.sh)
  • 3) get your voms proxy: voms-proxy-init -voms cms
  • 4) get the script to change dataset status in this directory: {your dbs3 installation directory}/dbs3-client/3.1.6a/examples/DBS3SetDatasetStatus.py
  • 5) ./DBS3SetDatasetStatus.py --url=https://cmsweb.cern.ch/dbs/prod/global/DBSWriter --status=PRODUCTION --recursive=False -d [dataset name]
  • 6) cross check dataset status in DBS3: https://cmsweb.cern.ch/dbs/prod/global/DBSWriter/datasets?dataset_access_type=*&detail=1&dataset=[dataset name]
