SWGuide: Cosmic Track Splitting

Complete: 0

This page was recently updated. Please notify jroskes1@jhuNOSPAMPLEASE.edu in case something is unclear or missing.

The method

The method is to split cosmic tracks along their point of closest approach to the beamline and create two track candidates. Then, we pass these track candidates to the standard 'ctfWithMaterialTracksP5' producer which makes split tracks. Internal cuts to the track splitter require that a split track has at least 6 valid recHits to be a track candidate.
