Adding Examples to the EDAnalyzer Skeleton Code

Experts are encouraged to add examples of how to use their classes from within an EDAnalyzer. To add an example

  1. Check out from CVS FWCore/Skeletons
  2. Edit the files in FWCore/Skeletons/scripts/mkTemplates/EDAnalyzer
  3. Contact a CVS administrator for this package (look at the .admin/developers file) so you can commit your changes

To add a new example line to the file just prefix the line with @example_<label> where <label> is the label you wish physicists to use when requesting your example be added to their analyzer. E.g.,

@example_track #include "FWCore/ParameterSet/interface/InputTag.h"
@example_track    <use name=DataFormats/TrackReco>

If more than one example wishes to add the same line of code, then one can use multiple <label>s which are separated by an underscore, E.g.,

@example_track_muon  #include "FWCore/ParameterSet/interface/InputTag.h"

When using multiple labels, the order of the labels does not matter.
