Example Electron Isolation Analyzer in 2_1_X

A simple electron analyzer exists as an example using the isolations produced from IsoDeposits without the PAT. It is also now expanded to run calculate isolations directly from rec-hits (ECAL) and CMS.CaloTowers (HCAL) without going through the IsoDeposits. To use first check out the following tags which always need to be checked out to use isolation in 2_1_X. The last tested version is 2_1_12.

Then you can check out the example analyser which produces, ecal, hcal, track, hcalDepth1, hcalDepth2 isolations and then fills a histogram for each one in a directory called egIsolExample.

It's also possible to directly cut on the isolation using framework modules. The following config fragement will produce a collection of electrons with a HcalTowerIsolation of less than 3GeV.

To make this work, you'll need a rather recent version of PhysicsTools (newer versions should also work):
