Brief documentation of GCT O2O code.

Useful jobs

These all assume you have checked out a copy of L1TriggerConfig/GctConfigProducers more recent than V00-08-14.

Jobs running on .cms network need the following environment variable to be set (do this after eval `scram runtime -sh`).

export TNS_ADMIN=/nfshome0/popcondev/conddb

Print contents of a Global Tag

This job just prints the GCT objects from a Global Tag (eg. START3X_V21).

cmsRun L1TriggerConfig/GctConfigProducers/test/test-config-print.py globalTag=START3X_V21 run=123456

Print contents of a GCT key

This job runs the GCT O2O modules for a given GCT key, and prints the results (without storing them anywhere). Only works on .cms network.

cmsRun L1TriggerConfig/GctConfigProducers/test/test-o2o-print.py V38_FS_Ext11_MinPipes

Run O2O and emulator

This job runs the GCT O2O modules for a given GCT key (without storing the results), then the emulator and emulator DQM. Only works on .cms network.

cmsRun L1TriggerConfig/GctConfigProducers/test/test-o2o-emulator.py V38_FS_Ext11_MinPipes

Test GCT masks O2O module

This job runs the GCT O2O module for channel masks (which are independent of the GCT key) and checks the objects can be retrieved. Only works on .cms network.

cmsRun L1TriggerConfig/GctConfigProducers/test/test-o2o-rs.py

The GCT emulator configuration uses the following records/objects, all found in CondFormats/DataRecord and CondFormats/L1TObjects.

The GCT O2O online producers are found in L1TriggerConfig/GctConfigProducers :

And in L1TriggerConfig/L1ScalesProducers

The dummy producers are :
