How to run Skim code

Create a CMSSW working area:

Check out code HiggsAnalysis/Skimming (not yet in the official release tagging):

 
   scramv1 project CMSSW CMSSW_3_1_2
   cd CMSSW_3_1_2/src
   cvs co HiggsAnalysis/Skimming   #check HEAD version
   scramv1 b -j 4

Signal Skims

Default settings are:

* HLT filtering (HLT_Photon15_L1R OR HLT_DoublePhoton10_L1R)

* 2 leptons (e,mu) with PT 20 and 10

* eleHadronicOverEm < 0.5 AND dilepMass> 6 GeV/c2 (beTight=True option)

Master file is: HiggsAnalysis/Skimming/python/higgsToWW2Leptons_Filter_cfi.py

    ElectronCollectionLabel = cms.InputTag("pixelMatchGsfElectrons"),
    SingleLeptonPtMin = cms.double(20.0),

Master file for HLT filtering is: HiggsAnalysis/Skimming/python/higgsToWW2Leptons_HLTPaths_cfi.py

For Signal skims use: HiggsAnalysis/Skimming/test/higgsToWW.py

Modify the output to your needs:

# Endpath
process.o = cms.EndPath ( process.higgsToWW2LeptonsOutputModuleRECOSIM)
#or
process.o = cms.EndPath ( process.higgsToWW2LeptonsOutputModuleAODSIM)

Fake rates skims

Default settings are:

* HLT filtering ( * 1 lepton (e,mu) with PT 10

Master file is: HiggsAnalysis/Skimming/python/higgsToWW2Leptons_FakeRatesFilter_cfi.py

For Fake rates skims use: HiggsAnalysis/Skimming/test/higgsToWW_FakeRatesSkim.py

Current Summer09 MC samples HWW skims for 7TeV and 10TeV

Current signal skims using (HLT_Mu9 OR HLT_Ele10_LW_L1R) bit selection and 2 leptons PT20 and 10 GeV, are stored at the T2_ES_IFCA, here is the DBS link. The original number of events is the full parent dataset from which they inherit.

You can run through them using CRAB by setting in your crab.cfg
