Complete: 3

If you wish add the directory PyReleaseValidation/data to your path, for example:

PATH=$PATH:$CMSSW_BASE/src/Configuration/PyReleaseValidation

or enter PyReleaseValidation/data directory. You might wish to test a single positive muon with the tranverse momentum of 10 GeV, just to start:

cmsDriver.py MU+ -e 10

More complicated examples are:

  • cmsDriver.py 10MU+ -e 45 -n 100 --no_output
    100 events of Ten positive muons with Pt=45GeV with no output on disk
  • cmsDriver.py B_JETS -s DIGI --filein MYSIMJETS.root
    Digitise B flavoured Jets events contained in the file MYSIMJETS.root
  • cmsDriver.py MU+ -n 1000 --prefix callgrind
    1000 single positive muon events with default Pt of 10 GeV with the prefix callgrind

To see all the possible options type:

cmsDriver -h
