CMSSW_1_3_1_HLT6

For 2007 analyses for which HLT is an issue, a special CMSSW_1_3_1_HLT6 backport has been prepared on the TQAF_131HLT6 branch. To use it, follow the following steps, they are somewhat different from 136.

Caution! The reconstruction in CMSSW_1_3_1_HLT6 was never validated! 131HLT6 should only be used by those who need HLT in 13X.
In case you use electrons, you should use a similar bugfix instruction as for 136.

CMSSW_1_3_6

The TQAF has been developed mainly in CMSSW_1_3_6. It served as code base for the 2007 analysis effort, after which it was abandoned. The latest and last tag for this is TQAF_136_071127, based on the TQAF_13X branch. This release can be installed doing the following on an SLC3 machine:

Don't forget to recompile after checking out new code, or updating! To be sure things get done cleanly, do a scramv1 b clean && scramv1 b -r in your top level directory.
To get the very last code in the TQAF_13X branch (i.e. work on the "head" of that branch which is not guaranteed to compile at all times), change the last 'cvs co' line into

We advise you, however, to work from the latest tags.

Important A fix for the infamous electron bug in the CMSSW_1_3_1 Spring07 production has been interfaced to the TQAF. In case you use electrons, then you will want to use this fix, which will trigger a re-reconstruction of electrons (can be cpu time intensive!). You will have to additionally execute the following commands in the CMSSW_1_3_6/src directory:

CMSSW_1_6_7

The TQAF has also been ported to CMSSW_1_6_X. In the context of the 2007 analysis effort, any version of 16X should work from CMSSW_1_6_0 up to CMSSW_1_6_7. The latest tag is TQAF_16X_071127 (don't use CMSSW_1_6_8 or higher with this tag!). It embeds all functionally from TQAF_136_071127. It is the version that should be used for systematic studies for the 2007 analyses. To use it, do the following on an SLC4 machine:

The latest version tag for CMSSW_1_6_10 is TQAF_PAT_080219. It is NOT compatible with CMSSW versions older than CMSSW_1_6_9. To check it out from the cvs do the following:

Note that there is no agreement on any patTuple format common for the EWK/Top/SUSY PAGs on the PAT version 2 output, yet. Nevertheless the standard output of PAT version 2 should already be very close to the former patTuple.

CMSSW_3_1_X

Latest tag: The latest TQAF tags (V06-02-07) are part of CMSSW_3_1_4. So there is no need to check out packages from CVS if you use this CMSSW release.
