• Drop in muon efficiency in the barrel part: a ~10% observed by HLT validation.
  The problems are related to RPC trigger in conjunction with the merging of regional candidates in GMT. The introduction/addition of the cosmic patterns for RPC trigger (in addition to non-cosmic patterns) affected the GMT muons, due to an optimization of rate in GMT when merging the regional muons. The solution proposed by Ivan is to update one of the GMT records from the global tag, controlling the merging, which involves new global tags for 35X. More evolved changes in merging could be eventually envisaged, but the proposed solution should fix now the drop in efficiency. Werner produced already the DB tags for the corresponding record and asked Gianluca for new global tags. RelVals will be produced to test the fix. RPC PACT, GMT, GT and L1Extra are marked as bad.
