MC in 4.4
440 details
- 29-Sep-2011: Electron: The increase of charge mis-ID (~15%) observed between pre9 and pre10 is still there and unexplained. Most likely related to a change in the tracking.
440pre10 details
- 19-Sep-2011: Electron (comments from Claude Charlot): A number of variables show significant differences wrt pre9. After some investigations, the main changes can be categorized as coming mainly from: - change in pout, the GSF estimate of the momentum at the GSFtrack end - change in the ECAL reconstructed energy and in the shower shape, mostly in EE (but also possibly slightly in EB) - increased number of reconstructed conversion legs with a significant effect on the charge mis-ID,
440pre9 details
- 08-Sep-2011: Tracking: There is a large increase in fake rate due to addition of tracks from conversions.
440pre6-pre7 details
- 15-Aug-2011: Electron: (C. Charlot) : pre7 vs pre6 everything is OK except the problem with preshower energy, starting with pre6 ; pre7 vs pre7_g494p02 not validated
- 19-Aug-2011: Jets: The slight reduction of PF jet pT in the barrel is due to a change of iterative tracking step names (iter4 and iter5 became iter5 and iter6), which caused all tracks from iter6 to be ignored by PF. No signal hits in the preshower, because of a bug in the sim to digi step. This will be fixed in 440pre8.
- 23-Aug-2011: (CJ) Muon POG: Increase of the rate of events with more than 2 Tk Muons wrt previous releases. Drop in efficiency for tracker tracks with Nhits > 10 (direct effect in the physics analysis). (AP) Still there in 440pre8; it will be supposedly solved in 440pre9, but all this derivates from the ongoing modifications in the tracking, and how does it propagate to the muon reconstruction has to be kept watched out.
440pre1-pre2-pre3-pre4 details
- 18-Jul-2011: (AP) Muon POG validation: there is a L1 trigger inefficiency in the barrel (no DT in L1, only RPC, since 430pre7) for MC, which is not of concern for Reco however, It has been understood, and it will (hopefully) be fixed in the next pre-releases
- 29-Sep-2011: (Comments from C. Charlot for the pre3): Slight shift in the SC energy in EE. Most likely related change in the classification for EE.
