Simulated Data Visualization Tutorial

Complete: 3

Basic Concepts

Simulated data types can be selected for display in the tree browser, for example, display all sim hits. Individual collections of simulated data can be displayed in Event Data Collections tree browser. Mouse click on Event Data Collections to open the tree (see Examples).

Simulated Hits (PSimHit)

PSimHits simulated hits are displayed as a set of points. An active configurable parameter can be set to connect the points in time order for each track ID. The connection is done with a straight line or a spline based on the sim hit position and direction at entry point.

To be able to display PSimHit data collections make sure Simulation/Hits iglet is loaded.

Connecting Simulated Hits (PSimHit)

To connect or disconnect the sim hits interactively change the VisSimHitConnect active configurable parameter in the Configuration Editor. The default value is false, e.g. do not connect the hits. This parameter can be set in the configuration file. See Visualization Configuration Tutorial for more details.
