Higgs PAG Summary Plots


Introduction

This page contains summary plots for the Higgs Physics Analysis Group for a variety of interpretations of the CMS data. The plots shown here present the result of either the combination or the superposition in a given theory parameter space of different analysis results performed within the Higgs group. Please note that the summary plots are typically produced for conferences and are not updated frequently so please refer to the CMS Results Pages for the latest results.

Summary of run 2 $\sigma(gg \to X) \times B(X \to h_{125}Y)$ 95% CL upper limits at 13 TeV (June 2022)

summary_X_to_h125Y_low_mX.png Observed and expected 95% CL upper limits on the product of cross-section and the branching fraction $\sigma(gg\to X\to h_{125}Y) \times B(Y\to bb)$ for $m_X < 1$ TeV using full run 2 data. The limits are given in terms of $m_Y$ for each $m_X$ considered. Only $m_X$ values considered by two or more analyses are shown.

The latest summary figures for $H\rightarrow inv.$ were produced in the context of the full Run 2 combination of all production modes which can be found here.

Summary of Run-2 $\sigma(HH) / \sigma_{SM}(HH) $ 95% CL upper limits

Note that the latest summary figures should be taken from the HH combination contained in this publication.

limits_HH_SM.png Upper limits at 95% confidence level on the signal strength SM $\mu = \sigma_{HH}/\sigma_{HH}^{SM}$. The inner (green) band and the outer (yellow) band indicate the regions containing $68\%$ and $95\%$, respectively, of the limits on $\mu$ expected under the background-only hypothesis. The bb bb resolved and bb bb boosted results are derived using a phase space with a minor overlap of signal events.
