ttH Combination

Figure Description
CMS_ttH_comb.png pdf, png Combined signal strength measurement of the ttH production process, $\mu_{\text{ttH}}$, via the decays of the Higgs boson to the $\gamma\gamma$ (HIG-15-005, ttH-tag categories only), multilepton (HIG-15-008) and bb (HIG-16-004) final states using $2.3-2.7 \text{fb}^{-1}$ of data collected at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 CMS.TeV. The measurement is made assuming a fixed Higgs boson mass of 125 CMS.GeV. The theoretical systematic uncertainties impacting the signal, namely the QCD scale and pdf uncertainties, are treated as fully correlated between channels. For experimental uncertainties, the luminosity uncertainty is treated as fully correlated between the three channels, and the b-tag uncertainties are treated as fully correlated between the bb and multilepton channels. For the combination of all ttH channels, the best-fit value of $\mu_{\text{ttH}}$ is $0.15 ^{+0.95}_{-0.81}$, compared to the standard model expectation of $1.00 ^{+0.96}_{-0.85}$. The small contributions from Higgs production modes other than ttH are constrained to the standard model expectations and can vary within the standard theoretical and experimental uncertainties.
ttH_comb_limit.png pdf, png 95% confidence level upper limits on the rate of ttH production relative to the standard model expectation ($\mu_{\text{ttH}}$ = 1) via the decays of the Higgs boson to the $\gamma\gamma$ (HIG-15-005, ttH-tag categories only), multilepton (HIG-15-008) and bb (HIG-16-004) final states using $2.3-2.7 \text{fb}^{-1}$ of data collected at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 CMS.TeV. From the combination of these channels the observed (expected) limit on $\mu_{\text{ttH}}$ is 2.1 (1.9), assuming a Higgs boson mass of 125 CMS.GeV. The small contributions from Higgs production modes other than ttH are constrained to the standard model expectations and can vary within the standard theoretical and experimental uncertainties.
