Please follow the next guidelines when reporting an issue on Jira.

Opening a ticket

Repack Issues related to repacking (critical for data preservation)
Configuration Update Announcement of changes in the Tier0 configuration
ActiveRuns Active runs were found in the production agent
CSP Tickets opened by the shifters or relevant for them

What triggers a replay?

  • New CMSSW release
  • New Global Tags
  • New AlCa producers
  • New DQM sequences
  • A new headnode is deployed
  • A new node is commissioned
  • A new patch (Tier0 or WMAgent) needs to be deployed
  • A new configuration/feature in the Tier0 pool


Creating a filter

You can create filters to save frequent queries. To do it:

NOTE: If you want to check more details, the syntax you can visit:

  • Click on Save Filter, make sure to add the CMSTZ_ prefix to the name.

  • It is done, you an now subscribe to the newly created Filter.

Subscribing to a filter

You can subscribe to them to get an email with the results with a certain frequency. In order to do it:

  • In Jira, on the upper bar, click Issues > Manage Filters.
  • Then select search and in the search box write CMSTZ_All_Issues_1h. Click search.
  • The filter will appear in the results, click on it. You will see the query for the filter and the current results.
     project = "CMS Tier0" AND (created >= -1h OR updated >= -1h) 
  • Click Details (next to the filter name) > New subscription.
  • There you can choose the frequency of the email notifications, for example (ideally for this particular filter)
    Schedule: *Daily*  - Interval: *Every hour* 
  • It is done, you will get a summary every hour.

Unsubscribing from a filter

  • Go to the filter (steps 1 to 3 in the Subscribing to a filter section) and click in Details > Manage subscriptions
  • Click delete in the operations column of the filter.
  • You are now unsubscribed!

Existing filters for the CMSTZ project

Filter_Name Description
CMSTZ_All_Issues_1h Filter used by the CRC to get hourly notifications about creation and update of Tickets
CMSTZ_Out_Shift_Issues Filter used get the list of creation and updates of the Tickets in the last 14 hours. (Ideally subscribed with a daily periodicity)
CMSTZ_Weekend_Issues Filter used get the list of creation and updates of the Tickets in the last 62 hours (For the weekends, ideally subscribed with a weekly periodicity)
