The two tools most often used to analyze Global Run data in HCAL are the DQM package and the EDAnalyzers in the RecoHcal area of CVS. Below are the links to the twiki pages for these tools. There are instructions on how to use these tools on the twikis.

The analysis packages for reco data from Global runs are in CVS under RecoHcal.

To use the HcalHPDnoise package you must run in a version of CMSSW >= 1_7_0.

This example will be to run the HcalProm package which is located in HcalProm

cd CMSSW_2_0_0/src

eval `scramv1 runtime -sh`

Check Out the Package

Type the following from the command line:

cmscvsroot CMSSW

cvs co HcalProm

scramv1 b

Running the code

cd into HcalProm/test

Look in the DBS to find a file for a global run.

Paste the path for this file into the input Vstring fileName section of the .cfg file.
