Instrument integration in the DAQ (How to)

Each instrument has a computer collecting its data, but this data must be sent and stored in the CLOUD data aquisition system. In order to send the data and controll your instrument a software was developed that must be installed in the instruments computer as follows. The instruments data may be monitored in realtime by the CloudMonitoring.

Windows Users

To install the software to connect the instruments to the central data acquisition system, the windows user will have to:
  • Download the CLOUD software package from CloudSoft (auto upgradable version)
  • Install (self explanatory procedure)
  • Provide the computer IP address and the informations required to DAQ.

Linux Users

To install the software to connect the instruments to the central data acquisition system, the linux user will have to:
  • Install the zabbix agent, automaticly from your linux or doanloading from the zabbix official site depending of your linux distribution.
  • Download a compressed file of CLOUD software package from CloudSoft (under construction)
  • Install
  • Provide the computer IP address and the informations required to DAQ.
