DMLite

DMLite is the core framework used by the DPM and Dynafed projects. DMLite is an API for namespace management, pool management and i/o access that allows loading plugins that implement the functionalities. The internal architecture follows a Decorator pattern, where the plugins may decorate and delegate each other's functionalities.

The figure below gives an overview of the existing interfaces.

DOME

  • DOME - Dome is the coordination daemon of DPM. When the DOMEAdapter plugin is loaded in dmlite, DOME substitutes the legacy lcgdm stack (dpnsdaemon, dpm daemon, rfio, CSec, libshift, some usage of Globus libraries)
