Measurement program: July test beam period 16th - 30th July.

Crystal Program:

  • Study of polarization measurements with PbF2 crystal (electron and photon beam)
    • center the crystal position (acquisition with ADC)

  • Results of PbF2 showed only a small effect, apparently due to scrambling of the light polarization along the long axis of the crystal -- see CrystalPolarizationStudies.

  • Study of polarization measurements with BSO (BSO1) + U330+ GG495 filters and comparison with last year data. Acquisition with oscilloscope.
    • scan with different thickness of lead absorber with electron
      • change favorable/unfavorable filter
    • scan with different thickness of lead absorber with photon
      • change favorable/unfavorable filter

NewReadout Program:

  • Test amplifiler
    • Energy scan to verify double gain measurements

2012 July online macros

  • CheckRun_2012.C Xtals (ADC), Newdream (ADC) and Ancillary are displayed. Run it in root with .x CheckRun_2012.C ("RUN#")
  • NewDream_scope.C Newdream 2 Channels oscilloscope.
  • Newdream_2012.C shows every plot (high and low gain of newdream)
  • Newdream_2012_Low.C shows only low gain plots of newdream both with and without pedestal (there is also the TGraph to do scan positions in order to find the edges, but now it is commented)
