Ntuple Production At CERN

At CERN ntuples can be produce either on pcdream, pcdreamdaq or pcdreamdaq2. During test beams do not use pcdreamdaq2 as you may interfere with the data taking.

First login to pcdream and move to the directory where the myDaq2Ntu program resides

cd ~/DreamDaq/decode/

then use the myDaq2Ntu program with the following syntax:

myDaq2Ntu <runnumber> <pedestal|data>

Use the following environment variables to change the program behaviour

Input binary files are searched in:

$DATADIR/data

$DATADIR/pedestal

The default is ~/working/

Output files will be placed in:

$NTUPLEDIR/

The default is ./

Compiling myDaq2Ntu

If you have made any modifications to myDaq2Ntu.c you'll need to recompile it. You can do it by running

make
