Polarization Measurements With BSO

We performed a scan as function of the thickness of the material (lead) positioned upstream the crystal. DAQ informations:

  • Crystal data acquired with the scope (scale for each run reported on the logbook)
    • channel 1 = X1 = left side = downstream; HV = 770 V
    • channel 2 = X2 = right side = upstream; HV = 720 V
  • No veto, no preshower detector included in the daq
  • 80 GeV electron (beam file H8C.001)
  • table position: x = 53.6; y = 73.65; angle = ~30 degrees (angle of the xtal box wrt the plane perpendicular to the beam )

Favorable orientation of the polarizer filter (horizontal)

  • Data taken on 18.7 shift 0-8
  • logbook pages 36-38

Unfavorable orientation of the polarizer filter (vertical)

  • Data taken on 18.7 shift 0-8
  • logbook pages 39
