Application Porting Support
The Applications Porting Support Group help users transfer applications to the EGEE grid. Application porting support is provided by several institutes, coordinated by the
Grid Application Support Centre (GASuC) of MTA SZTAKI
. The Group provides an intensive consulting service to allow people new to the grid to get a prototype of their application running on the grid as quickly as possible. The
procedure
to obtain help from this team requires a description of the application to be ported. This allows the team to make an initial assessment on whether the application can be reasonably ported to the grid. Financial support for travel to this team is available from the EGEE Community Building funds.

: The na4.vo.eu-egee.org virtual organization brings together resources – computing and human – to help the NA4 activity provide better support to the EGEE user community. Specifically, people within this VO: 1. help new users port their applications to the EGEE production infrastructure, 2. validate proposed solutions to problems facing users, 3. validate documentation/FAQs, and 4. write SAM tests to verify certain critical functionalities.
