---+ Simple Use of the Release Candidate RPMs ---++ Yum Usage If you are using an SLC4 (i386 or x86_64) machine, and want to install DPM on it, then: <verbatim> wget http://glite-dm.web.cern.ch/glite-dm/glite-dm.slc4.repo -O /etc/yum.repos.d/glite-dm.repo yum install glite-SE_dpm_disk glite-SE_dpm_mysql </verbatim> The two previous commands allow the installation of the rpms needed. Then the configuration of the DPM will be done via Yaim, which is also installed as part of the previous operation. Fill properly the site-info.def. Details are provided here : http://www.yaim.info If the location of yaim is included in the PATH environment variable, type <verbatim> yaim -c -s <location of the site-info.def> -n glite-SE_dpm_mysql </verbatim> Otherwise <verbatim> /opt/glite/yaim/bin/yaim -c -s <location of the site-info.def> -n glite-SE_dpm_mysql </verbatim> ---++ RPMs You can find individual RPMs, also for the client side, directly linked to [[http://glite-dm.web.cern.ch/glite-dm/][the autogenerated]] page. For example [[http://glite-dm.web.cern.ch/glite-dm/slc4/x86_64/RPMS.dm/?C=M;O=D][the x86_64 RPMs]] sorted in reverse time order. ---++ Feedback Please note that these are not officially certified and released RPMs, but release candidates, provided by the developer team. If there are any problems then please report directly to [[mailto:hep-service-dpm@cern.ch][DPM support]] or [[mailto:hep-service-lfc@cern.ch][LFC support]]! -- Main.AkosFrohner - 06 Nov 2007
