REMARKS:

This release has been tested as a pilot release by both Atlas and CMS. Both experiments have diverted production jobs to FTS 2.2.8, allowing full functional and performance testing. The release has been tested against both Oracle 10 and 11. 
Altas and CMS have both confirmed that they consider FTS 2.2.8 to be ready for release and that they would like to see it in production before the LHC beam restarts (ie Update 13).

This component has no unit tests

The srpms will be available in the EMI2 release (already there in the RC).

There are no 2.2.6 FTSs in production so the upgrade test was not performed. Sites will be advised to directly install 2.2.8.
