Firemans (Oracle and MySQL) would be frozen after the review.

We talked about a DB independent distribution solution, which would require a reliable messaging system. There are such open source systems in Java, so the question is how to make use of them with LFC.

The fallback solution is Oracle replication, CERN and Tier-1 sites running LFC on Oracle DB.

we discussed the messaging model and we also would need to set up and prototype some of these to see whether they offer a viable solution or whether we need to find another solution. the DDD group needs to be involved at any rate.
