This diagram illustrates the SRM calls made by the FTS to the source and destination SRM services in case of successful transfer. The diagram refers to url copy transfer mode, i.e. using gridftp.
srmPrepareToGet failure
If the srmPrepareToGet operation fails, the request is aborted.
srmPrepareToPut failure
If the srmPrepareToPut operation fails, the source is cleaned up releasing the srmPrepareToGet request and the srmPrepareToPut request is aborted.
GridFtp copy failure
In case the gridftp transfer failed, the source is cleaned up releasing the srmPrepareToGet request; for the destination, the srmPrepareToPut request is aborted and an srmRm operation is attempted (in case the file did not previously exist).
