---+ Grid Observatory %RED%The portal is now open. Visit [[http://www.grid-observatory.org][http://www.grid-observatory.org]] %ENDCOLOR% All information about contact and usage are provided there. The Grid Observatory cluster of Enabling Grids for E-sciencE (EGEE) collects, publishes and analyses data on the behaviour of the EGEE grid. Its aim is to develop a scientific view of the dynamics of grid behaviour and usage. This helps both computer science researchers working in the field of autonomic computing and grid developers seeking to improve reliability, stability and performance. %BR% Grid infrastructures, as well as data centers, consist of a variety of hardware and software components, which are, in their own right, complex systems. Grids federate independently managed resources, and answer the requests of communities with evolving behaviour patterns. %BR% With extensive monitoring facilities already in place, EGEE grid offers an unprecedented opportunity to observe, and gain understanding of, new computing practices of e-Science. ---++ Contact Activity leader [[mailto:cecile.germain@lri.fr][Cécile Germain-Renaud]] ---++ Ongoing actions * Data Collection and Publication * Integration of Dashboard data * Collection of LFC logs * Building ontologies (with MIS and LPC) * Models of the grid dynamics * Evaluation of the performance of the estimated response time (request from JRA1) * Real-time clustering * Multi-objective scheduling * Dissemination, collaborations * Workshop [[http://autonomic.ac.upc.edu/GRIDmeetsAC/][Grids meet autonomic Computing]] at ICAC’09 * Proposal of a joint OGF/EGEE session “From monitoring to analysis” at OGF25/UF4 ---++ Meetings [[http://indico.cern.ch/sessionDisplay.py?sessionId=84&slotId=0&confId=32220#2008-09-25][Istanbul community meeting September 2008]] %BR% London team meeting June 2008 %BR% [[http://indico.lal.in2p3.fr/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=443][CEI defense May 2008]] %BR% [[http://indico.lal.in2p3.fr/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=443][Portal design May 2008]] %BR% [[http://indico.lal.in2p3.fr/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=366][Analysis meeting November 2007]] %BR% [[http://indico.cern.ch/sessionDisplay.py?sessionId=19&slotId=0&confId=18714#2007-10-02][Budapest session October 2007]] %BR% [[http://indico.cern.ch/sessionDisplay.py?sessionId=73&slotId=0&confId=18714#2007-10-03][Budapest group meeting October 2007]] %BR% [[http://indico.lal.in2p3.fr/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=313][Analysis kickoff meeting October 2007]] ---++ Resources Internal mailing list [[mailto:project-eu-egee-na4-go@cern.ch][project-eu-egee-na4-go@cern.ch]] %BR% Collaboration mailing list [[mailto:gridobs@cru.fr][gridobs@cru.fr]] %BR% [[http://press.eu-egee.org/fileadmin/documents/infosheets_egee3/infosheet_GO.pdf][The Grid Observatory infosheet]] %BR% [[https://edms.cern.ch/document/979978/1][Poster at Digiteo 1st annual forum]] %BR% [[https://savannah.cern.ch/projects/goreq][Requirements from other EGEE activities]] %BR% [[https://edms.cern.ch/file/937512/1/work-plan-GO-v2.0.doc][Workplan]] %BR% [[https://edms.cern.ch/file/976395/1/GOTechnicalDocV1.2.pdf][Technical documentation]] %BR% ---++Slides [[http://indico.cern.ch/getFile.py/access?contribId=228&sessionId=121&resId=1&materialId=slides&confId=40435][Presentation]] at the joint session __From grid monitoring to analysis__ at OGF/UF Catania ---++ Publications Xiangliang Zhang, Michele Sebag, Cecile Germain-Renaud.
